Do you want to apply statistical reasoning, probabilistic modelling, and machine-learning techniques to understand player behaviour, evaluate game changes, and guide product decisions?
We’re looking for a Data Scientist whose strong programming skills and practical analytical experience will enable them to build reliable data systems, automate workflows, and develop models and simulations that help the team make faster and more confident decisions.
THE DIFFERENCE YOU’LL MAKE:
- As a Data Scientist, you will take meaningful ownership in shaping how our games evolve, how we use data throughout the game-making process, and how we introduce modern Data Science practices into daily decision-making. With several years of hands-on experience behind you, you’ll confidently partner with the Product Manager and the broader game team to ensure that decisions are grounded in high-quality data, clear insights, and robust analytical methods. This role blends elements of data engineering and business analytics, with a focus on data science, giving you end-to-end responsibility across the data lifecycle, from how information is captured and transformed to how it is interpreted, automated, and ultimately used to influence player experience and game strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Data Science [~50%]
- Performing Causal inference (Econometrics, doubleML, etc.), with a main focus on AB testing
- Modelling user behaviour from real data and using it to power simulations you develop, representing parts of the game. In the process, you will be relying on game theory, applied probability and statistics, and programming
- Applied Classical Machine Learning (from solving complex problems to building production-ready standalone tools and systems)
- Data engineering [~15%]
- Telemetry design, to ensure that new changes in the game are properly and consistently captured by the data
- Writing data transformations and maintaining game data quality
- Business Analytics [~35%]
- Making Reports and Dashboards, with a strong emphasis on automation and reliability
- Performing Business Monitoring and alerting, with a focus on automation, scalability, and maintainability of the solution
- Performing Data analysis (from explorational to explanatory)
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:
- You’ll partner closely with the Product Manager, Game Designers, Developers and the rest of the game team to ensure that decisions are grounded in high-quality data, clear insights, and robust analytical methods.
WE ARE A MATCH, IF YOU:
- Have 3+ years of experience in Data Science or a related field
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other quantitative fields
- Advanced knowledge of any data visualisation tool (such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik, …), as well as visualisation best practices
- Have experience with any OOP, as well as Python or R, and SQL.
- Have strong knowledge of Statistics and Machine Learning concepts
- Love playing games, or following the Gaming industry
BONUS POINTS:
- Generative or Agentic AI projects
- Any experience with cloud computing (such as GCP, AWS, Azure, …) for ML and data infrastructure, big data tools (such as Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Hadoop, …), or proficiency in MLOps (model deployment, versioning, CI/CD)
